For the last few days I have been getting a pop up on my home screen saying that my trial avg is about to expire, it is now down to 2 days, do i have to download AVG again or should I just ignore it sctatchinghead

Are you running version 8? if so then its been discontinued upgrade to version 9, personally if you want a free antivirus avast is way better.

Sometimes it wont let you download a trial...

Just download the full program.
