Already named as starting, maybe it's to attract more fans,player making debut (international only 2 years ago). Unusual for a player to be named almost 3 days before kick off.

Will be good to see us play with a defensive midfielder for a change - been a long time coming. Question is - who will he replace? I'd go with central midfield of Gamble & Jones. Sorry Ritchie!

So, really, the phrase 'punching above your weight' actually means 'achieving more than you would be expected to, given your fan base/ funds available'? That at least makes a bit of sense. I'd always thought it was a slightly derogatory term like 'overachieving'.
