Yes its Charlton Athletics turn to have CT wanking over them.

Its only Monday but listening to CT early comments about our injuries we may as well not bother travelling.

Are any of you seriously spending your hard earned cash by going?

Nah, I'm saving up the cash to have your mouth boarded up

When have I ever said I'm not going because of the feelings of anyone else? I've made my own decisions. I'd love to know where this imaginary club is that you've made up too.

You followed Pools when we were the poorest team in England didn't you?

But now you are withdrawing your support for the daftest reason known to man

Why not stick with the club you have supported since you were a kid?, I just don't get it?!!!

I love a bit of tax bashing, but i also know he does work crazy shifts, so if he's working and can't go, is that not out of his hands?

I take it by you failing to answer my questions that you accept you made it up. Thanks for that. It's nothing to do with our success on the pitch, it's because the enjoyment level has been taken out of going in all honesty for me. That away game at Bristol Rovers last season where the muppet in charge failed to get them motivated for such a massive game was the final straw. I don't think we'll go up or down so in all honesty I think it's a bit of a waste of time going as ultimately what will the end result be? We'll just be a statistic. This doesn't mean I'll be unhappy with our end position (I'm certainly not unhappy with the current one) but it will have failed to excite me so I'll feel justified in not chucking my money at it.

it seems to me that the current manegement at Pools are setting their stall out to win certain games and have damage limitation in others...what kind of approach to football is that? If you think you're going to get beat, get beat all guns blazing and give the fuc-kers a game!!! You never know, you might actually rattle their cages, and - heaven forbid - might actually WIN!!!!!
I want to see OUR team talked up, and I'll bet so do the players.

Tell me

Did you enjoy the football under Tait & Houchen?

I bet you and countless others didn't, but they still turned up

So why withdraw your support now?

You and many others are cutting their own throats at the moment as far as I can see

IOR might just say fook it and we will be back to the days of Houchen and friends again

This is my major worry, hammer hits nail on head.

I went a lot under houchen and tait, but it's not 1994 anymore, my old mans not paying me in at the rate of about £4 a game

while we have players on our books capable of competing at this level, that is exactly what we should be doing. Do you think the current manager believes that his players are good enough? Cos I don't think he believes they are. Recipe for disaster that.
I haven't withdrawn my support for the team when they play at all, I always want Pools to win - but I don't accept that CT is good enough for HUFC . I don't believe that there's another club anywhere, higher than the Blue Square North who would employ him to run their football team. Seriously I don't think there is.
Here we go, I can be persuaded to change my mind about him if he avoids defeat in even one game against Norwich, Charlton, Southampton or Leeds this season.
I bet he can't.
But I bet there are other managers out there who could.

I don't care what happened fifteen years ago. If I was going out with a bird who was fat and minging in 1994, it doesn't mean I'd want to give her one now just because she'd shifted a couple of stone now. We have the potential to do well in this division under the right guidance but while certain people are happily collecting a wage whilst contributing very little then the club will stand still. You're still stuck in the bad old days, I've forgot about them and want this current to start delivering again. It would seem that is considered a crime round here.

So tell me. How regular do you attend home games then? Every game?

I do. Every game. I havent missed a home game for 5 years.

But it is not good value for money and fans have every right to voive their opinion in any way they wish.

The club are looking at ways to get the fans back, which is good, unlike you just slagging off those that dont go.

Wooooh their, I'm not slagging them off, my remark to Tax dodger was a piss take

Of course fans have the right to voice their opinions, but a LOT will give any reason not to go, you know it and I know it

IOR are always open to the fans suggestions, but they cannot make fans turn up at a whim, even under Cooper we didn't get the crowds we should of

A lot of people in this town are fickle, they expect everything for nowt and for that 'nowt' they expect it to be of the highest standard

PS

Up until September I hardly missed a Saturday home match for fifteen years despite living in London and then Harrogate
I still have three season tickets which other family members use

I'm not stuck in the past, I simply offered a question of why you followed us when we were the laughing stock of the league but now you aren't going any more

clappp clappp clappp
If we don't get off our knees and stop being thankful (copyright Snowy) then we'll never progress. We don't have to apologise for being in the same league as Leeds, Norwich etc - we are here on merit and we should be getting in their faces, not bowing down to the fu-ckers!!!
Get into 'em!!! F-uck them up!!!!

example - Layer Road was a graveyard for so many big clubs I lost count of how many times they proper turned them over in that corner of Essex. One of their biggest scalps was dicking the Mackems 3-1 when they won the title under Roy Keane, one of their very few defeats at the end of that season for them.
Ipswich, Stoke - you name them Col U have done them. A 7-1 win at Carrow Road this season (yes they got blitzed on Sat - but that does not detract from what is possible - and with Pools owners IMO it is possible). That's not even mentioning another little club, Scunthorpe, who dicked Forest 4-1 at the City Ground en route to the L1 title
We ourselves have done it before, and we can do it again is my viewpoint. Really, why not? I believe most of the players we have are good enough for most sides in this league and we've gone from being a club proud to puff our chest out in the company of big clubs, to one which practically apologises for causing such an inconvenience to these "big" clubs. Well f-uck that!! That is not what being a Poolie was ever about!!!!

Thats what I have emailed to the club.

No one is upset at being 11th.

Its the fact that CT seems to think thats all we should be aiming for.

Its a waste of money going knowing that the only ambition is to finish midtable. And there is no need for it.

We have made the play offs twice before in this division.

Exactly and in them 2 seasons , we had Plymouth/QPR and Sheff Wed in division, Bristol C under Wilson who were expected to win promotion that year. (2003/04) In 2004/05 there was Hull Luton Sheff Wed Huddersfield all "supposedly bigger" than us at the time.

As I said at start of the season, it's up to the players and Management to create REPUTATIONS, not let them go before them. Like many CT bulling up the opposition before we play them is beginning to get on my nerves.

It takes me back to the start of the 2005/06 season when Scott said we had "overachieved for 2 seasons" it made me think he was making excuses before a ball was kicked.

If they did pull out it would hurt the town more than people could ever imagine.
People want Brazilian football from a squad financially based on crowds of less than 4000 people.
You couldn't make it up.
Let's sack the manager and see if the football on the pitch improves.
What if it doesn't !!!!
Let's just have a manager a month.
Give a bloke a month to have us playing like Arsenal.
If he doesn't just sack him and move onto the next.

I agree 100% TLT but there is clearly a huge amount of apathy towards pools at the moment and the club is doing the right thing by at least asking for suggestions.

We couldnt play much worse than we have been! banghead

There is no point whatsoever continuing as we are. The fans are voting with their feet whether you like it or not and If things keep going like this then more and more fans are going to leave thus crippling the club.

The club need to get their head out of the sand and act before its too late. If Hodcroft spent a bit of time with the supporters he would soon see where the problem lies. Unfortunately the club are so out of touch these days that they ask the fans to suggest gimmicky improvements such as half time entertainment etc to try and bring supporters back.

The fans are so sick of it that they are leaving in their droves.

I too would like to see the football improve.
If it doesn't I would also like to see a new manager.
But until either happens I'm not going to stop supporting my team.
I'm not even going to think about it no matter what happens.
I think there's another 2000 people who think the same.
Let's hope IOR don't mind there's 2000 either.

If I was getting paid Chris Turner's wage to do Chris Turner's job I can safely say that I wouldn't give a flying fck if someone was sat on a computer somewhere calling me a cretin. Stop making out as if he has stole his kids.

He is an idiot. He has been rubbish at all his clubs. I agree that we are not doing THAT badly but the squad of players we have should be entertaining the crowds. Its probably the strongest squad we have ever had. I appreciate that this is partly down to CT but he cant play them the right way and thats the problem.

He is a cretin. He has been rubbish at all his clubs. I agree that we are not doing THAT badly but the squad of players we have should be entertaining the crowds. Its probably the strongest squad we have ever had. I appreciate that this is partly down to CT but he cant play them the right way and thats the problem.

well if he's a cretin for trying to put together a team to be proud of, then your a 'lovely lovely person', no offence like

Sorry I misused the word 'cretin' in my earlier post.

Having found out what it means, I wish to change it to 'idiot'.
