I have realised this season the noise at home games if pretty pathetic, maybe if we make a bit more noise and give the lads a bit more encouragement they may perform better?

If anyone remembers the ‘singing section’ against Walsall we won and played decent football, maybe because of fans singing and cheering the players on. Maybe because they where shite and we played half decent football for once?

Why not give the singing section another go see what happens? sctatchinghead

if the police and the club hadn't banned lads who used to do all the singing in the ground, then this wouldn't be an issue at all. They banned people for absolutely f-uck all and the club were implicit. Then when you look at Leeds and what goes on there, and somebody then tries to justify to me why a lot of those Hartlepool lads were banned, then I'll tell that person that they are clueless.
Sadly;y it's because the police force which operates in this area only has 2 clubs to look after, therefore Pools have a disproportionate number of banning orders, especially in comparison to what actually goes on, or indeed has ever gone on.
The link between loss of atmosphere and the time those lads were banned is inextricable

Does anyone have any idea how many banning orders have been dished out?

it's all those "civil" banning orders. Whereby police officers are taking people to court to get them banned, in their capacity as civilians. Not that they are using their own personal cash to do this of course.
Bunch of wa-nkers the lot of 'em. Jumped up twerps who don't come to the rescue of elderly people being robbed because there might be a danger of getting stabbed by the robber or whatever, but who are right in the faces of football fans on a Saturday. The policy making hierarchy deserve to get pubic lice.

There must be over 100 banned now. And there'll be a hundred others who have stopped going because they are on the list as well, so it's easier to just keep away rather than get collared by these dickheads. They can ban you for simply "knowing" or "associating with" people who have been banned, even though you may never have done a thing wrong in your life, ever, at any time.

Once they've got all the others on their priority list, there's going to be lads you can't believe getting banned.
A complete joke.

can't speak for everyone who doesn't go so I won't attempt to, but suffice to say I know there's a list and the muskers are working their way down it.
Whatever way you look at it, there are always some who can't complain if they get the knock, but a lot of them have been banned for f-uck all - i.e. just for standing in a pub next to a banned person!!!!! You probably mentioned a total number of people there, of no more than 20/30 - how they have managed to ban the number they have is unbelievable really.
Like I said, the only thing I can assume is that people don't want a court conviction of any kind - so they do the obvious thing and stay out of the way.
It's no coincidence that the singing sections have disappeared - and I put it to everyone on here that it was the lads who have been kicked out who were the people initiating the atmosphere. Nobody else has done it since - the games are testament to that.

It doesn't matter what the songs where, they still created an atmosphere.
