Lowest crowd for a home league game since December 2000.

There can't be many people with season tickets this year..? There's probably a number of reasons for this mainly the fact that they were poor value this year and secondly many still don't buy into the Turner project.

I think HUFC need to make season tickets better value, if people have season tickets they feel like they have to attend and this means badgering a mate or two to come along when it is freezing like today.

perhaps the fall in attendances is due to the fact that we only seem to perform for one of the halves at the minute. Don't get me wrong, I was delighted that we were 2-0 up at half time but we scarcely deserved it.

I really hope we sign a midfielder or two this week. Jones was playing there alone today as far as I could see.

Here is one season ticket holder who set of from the game from BC at 1.15 in heavy snow and was forced to turn back at bishop Auckland as the roads were becoming impassable and even if I'd got to the Vic I would probably have not got home. Personally i could not see the sense in rearranging the postponed game so quickly given the local weather forecast we could have waited til march and had a three and a half thousand crowd.

I don't know without checking, but I expect crowds will have been down at any match going ahead today. A 3rd round FA Cup tie today, between 2 premiershit teams, was played in front of a 5,335 crowd.

Alright Wigan and Hull isn't really a first tier match.

The weather had a lot to do with today's attendance. It was very treacherous on the way to the ground and the fact that it was snowing quite heavily in the build up to the game will have dissuaded people even more.

Hopefully things will be better for the game against Frankenclub FC.

I didn't go today because I fail to get excited by Pools at the moment and this has been the case since mid December last season.

the noises made recently by Turner are everything I don't want the manager of HUFC to say. Bulling up opposition and making excuses before we even kick a ball.

Maybe you could give us 2 stands for when we play you with attendances like that.
After all we are just another league 1 side, no cup final, nothing special. Woud reduce the amount of our fans in your stands aswell.

I'd prefer it if we didn't give you any tickets at all, and anyone talking with a Yorkshire accent in Hartlepool on the 6th February was locked up.

The weather put paid to my journey to the Vic today aswell. I know that the weather had some impact today but I' struggling with the maths...

18'000 at Cardiff

10'000 at Sunderland

4000 at Darlo

5000 average at home not so long ago......

I don't buy into this, I'm a Pools fan but at the moment can't muster up the enthusiasm/don't like Turner/etc. You support the team or you don't, through thick and thin. I have a season ticket and I live in Aberdeen, I go as much as I possibly can and made the 600 mile round trip pre IOR when we WERE sh*te.

I reckon the usual suspects will set upon me now but that's what I think.

The apathy shown by the Hartlepool public towards the football team is foooking disgraceful.
The crowd today was absolutely shocking considering we haven't had a home game since the 19th of December.
Chesterfield and Grimsby!!!! both had round about 3 and half thousand fans at their respective matches. Both league 2 teams and hardly pulling up trees.
In fact Grimsby look odds on for the drop!!!
Fair play to the ones who braved the weather to make the game.
Fair play to those who tried to travel from out of town and failed to make it.
I've lost patience with the people in this town. They dont deserve a football team.
Mind, as if they'd care if we didn't have one.
They'd continue to queue at the aisles of tesco and asda for their cheap foooking booze and huddle in the warmth of their local bookies hoping to succeed from 32 team accumulator dreaming of buying a season ticket for Liverpool FC.
They will also continue to wank off on facebook and consume kebab meat for their sunday lunch.

Foooook the lot of them banghead banghead banghead

You're right the players and management are temporary, we the fans are permanent.

aberdeen for what its worth i agree with you.

at least 60 per cent of the towns male population could be culled with minimal damage to the aggregate iq level.

of the 40 per cent that left all of them claim to support pools but you could shoot half of them and the average attendance would not be affected apart from the home game against leeds.

of the 20% left still alive i'd say the majority are moaning bitches and if you gave them a six foot horse made of solid gold apart from its mane which was made from pure silver, they would twist like fook cos they wanted one they seen on the internet what shat diamonds twice a week.

I've got two of those in the back yard

Exactly - it's eleven against eleven and if we get beat then I want the other team to know that they have been in a game, a bit too nice and powderpuffy for my liking at the moment....
