i've never really known my first game but always remember a game on a friday night in the mid 70's at home to Rochdale. Thanks to Mr Mad, it seems it was 23/10/1976 with pools winning 2 nil. My memory of the game was swinging around the crush barrier in the town end corner terrace that used to be given to away fans so not sure why we were stood there I came out of the match with silver paint all over my hands and jumper

Me mam and dad continued going to pools games home and away until dads ill health, 74 years old and still travelling home and away, inc exeter, torquay, where ever............. ..........im drifting into nostalgia.............
