Set off to watch Spiritualized at The Sage at 6pm tonight. Got as far as Dalton Piercy and had to turn back. Sick as fook. Been looking forward to this gig for months.

I'm in bed now instead. Not happy

Was pretty hairy driving back to Durham, and at one point we ended up on the wrong side of the road after an extended skid. Had to abandon the car in the end, and walk the last mile.

We've just got back in after a bar meal in Billingham, drove very slowly about 2 miles to The Smiths Arms on the Green in Old Billingham. The snow was coming down in lumps. It took about half an hour to get back, including about 15 minutes to get over the bank on Wolviston Road over the railway lines. The 2 youngest and fittest went ahead to recce what was happening, and helped to push one car over the brow, so the rest of us could get moving, slowly, again.

Glad I'm not back at work again until the 4th.

Almost 2 hours to get back to Darlo after the match!
