Just rediscovered my Breville Toastie maker at the back of the cupboard, had a cheese/red onion last night.....lush. Need to start looking beyond cheese combo's though

Any good toastie recommendations out there in Bunkerland?

Sausage and beans. Jam and banana (seriously.) On no account ever put tomato in a breville as you will strip the roof of your mouth with the bastard. From experience. sadx

In full and total agreeance!

Curry is probably my favourite toastie filling. Just ahead of cheese, mushroom and onion with a dash of brown sauce.

Tomatoes are the devil in toasties, I love them but they hold the heat to much and combined with cheese weld thereself to the roof of you mouth, you think they cold enough but thats when they fool you.

Same with Pizzas when you are hungry you wolf them down not knowing that the tomatoe puree below the cheese is hotter than the sun.

When I was a kid I had a pet rabbit who used to eat cheese and onion toasties all the time. Then one day we had no cheese in so I made him a ham and tomato toastie. It didn't do him any good though, he died from mixingmatoasties.

Bacon & Cheese has proved popular, as has pepperoni, cheese & jalapeno.

Bollox ... I tried a corned beef and onion toastie, totally forgetting the deadliest part of any toastie, the crust with the hardness of a diamong cutting wheel and granite combined...swallowed a bit, stuck in my throat and now my throats as sore as hell.

I must have lower standards, I laughed out loud, and snorted the tea I'd just drunk back up my nostrils.

You've not lived as long as I have, it makes you cynical, don't mention global warming to me.
