It's a brilliant film, and what's more the film actually acknowledges the fact that Clough was at Hartlepools before Derby, Forest, Leeds and Brighton.

The filum is way better then the book, the audio is good with Hartlepool mentioned, although the other stuff with the DVD is cack, no mention of Pools at all

i meant cloughs own book, his autobiog. Kent a film should be judged on the whole hour and a bit of it, not just a 2second moment where he mentions hartlepool, your easily pleased lad

I was judging it on the hour and a half. All I'm saying is that I'm glad the film just acknowledged that Clough was at Hartlepool because where some of these programmes about Clough are concerned, they have tended to "skip over" the fact that he was at Hartlepools.

Yet, I think it is actually important because it was his first managerial post with Peter Taylor, where he got McGovern from etc.

I've read the book and seen the film. I preferred the fillum as the book tends to be a bit of rant at times and somewhat repetitive. I'd have happily smacked Billy Bremner at the end and Don Revie at any point.
