I'm not bothered, I'd like to see him replaced in January for a Willie Boland type midfielder and I don't think he's good enough to get another 2 seasons in League One that'd be required for him to break the record. If he can improve his game of course and prove he is good enough then yes of course I'd like to break the record.

I am now going to hell.

Even if he did which is very doubtful, it would be an entirely false statistic. Theres a huge number of those games where he should have been dropped and would have if we had a manager with any balls.

It has been known at times.

But I still don't remember Cooper dropping Humphreys.

Refresh my memory, when did it happen?

Lets not forget that Cooper has been gone 4 years (2003 - 2005) Besides, the main time I'm on about is the back end of the Scooty era and the last couple of seasons.

Cooper must have felt that Ritchie would get him sacked if he did such a terrible thing.

Aye, but even though his form was better in the Cooper days I thought that was the period when he set his consecutive appearance record? And there was people back then saying that he should be dropped. Maybe Cooper didn't have any balls?

We know that Scotty doesn't have any balls.

I hope that he gets the record IF his form warrants his selection. He shouldn't be in the team for sentimental reasons, that kind of thing gets you relegated.

Richie has been a credit to our club and if he takes the record it will have been earned.

Either way, theres not many who would argue that there were many games where he should have been dropped and wasn't. If Matty Robson had put in as many poor performances as Humphreys he would have been booed into suicide by now.

Aye, but most if not all of his sub-standard performances were as a left back. He shouldn't have been playing there but at least he gave it a go without whinging.

Our last two managers have dropped him, Wilson loaned him to Port Vale and Turner benched him at the back end of last season.
