Jusr watched the highlights, am I the only one who thinks that the nastiness in the tackle actually comes from the Southampton player?

Jones was moving at pace and made more of a block than a tackle, he wasn't even close to making contact.

It was all down to the reaction of the Southampton players and the piss weak referee.

I didnt think there was much wrong at the time.

Now having a look at the replay I don't think Jones makes much of a connection (if any) and the Southampton's studs are showing.

as soon as i seen who the ref was i knew we would get nowt,he allowed them to get away with murder as soon as we started playing them at their own game he clamped down on us

I still think he was stupid. He was late and there was contact. We were 3-1 down, he was on a yeller, it was the final few minutes of the game in an area of the pitch where there was little threat.

If it had been the other way round I'd have been screaming for their player to walk.
