We played well for first 30mins or so, very well infact but all went a bit pear shaped after.

Brown had a stormer and Austin behind him very good too. Stupid challenge from Jones to get his second yellow but unlucky because his first one should never have been a yellow. Boyd looked sharp and his control and touch is back and Monkhouse was up for it and performed very well. Looked a serious one to Behan, at a guess id say broken ankle judging by way Dr was holding his leg. After Behan went off, the football seemed to stop and we created very little.

ALB-esque fuck up by Flinders late on to give them the third and also thought he made it easy for their first.

Southampton are a bunch of dirty, cheating, whinging twats. I just wanted someone to twat that left back towards the end.

flattered to decieve, we played really well for 30-35 minutes of first half. Another defensive lapse of concentration, by the other wise very good Neil Austin, for the first and that was it. 2nd half performance was a lesson in how not to use the prevailling conditions in your favour, really poor stuff, their reserve keeper came on with 30mins to go, and never had a shot to save banghead deplorable given that we had such a strong wind working with us. Where did Monkhouse go 2nd half? Ritchie Humphreys is not good enough. Brown looked awesome at times. Greulich is not ready to play in this league. I shudder to think what turners next team will look like, humphreys and sweeney in the middle

The first was definitely a yellow in my opinion, he knew exactly what he was doing and it was wreckless. However, the ref had let half a dozen of their fouls go without warning before that and one of their players was right in the refs face telling him to book him which makes it all the more frustrating.

I'm getting sick of the amount of times we play excellently against a big Club in the first half..and then the second half starts and it starts to unravel.
