It was Tricky Nicky Southall who won the penalty against Palace.

And there was definitely a push by Shaw.

The penalty was awarded by referee Gallagher for Shaw's ridiculous haircut.

Joe Allon used to dive at every given opportunity and then turn and smile/wink to the crowd. We loved it!!!!

I'm sure that you meant "dive", but I have a nice picture in my head of him sitting on the touchline playing with dice.

I remember Bob Newton lying prostrate by the line in front of an old wooden stand at Cambridge ages ago, laughing and winking at the home crowd , who were baying for his blood, as the ref arrived on scene the physio gave him a word and he started rolling around in agony, the ref checked and walked away and he started laughing at the crowd again. It was priceless. As the crowd went ape shit again the ref returned and he started acting again .

rolfl

It was the same match he pulled the shorts down on some hulking central defender - I think

I remember Paul Baker?? Barging the Walsall keeper at the Bescott in the last minute one game and we scored, shocking!! About as blatant a foul as you'll ever see, he'd have been sent off for it these days

I can't remember who it was against (possibly Mansfield) around 2000. The ball was in the Town End box and being pelted towards our goal repeatedly. About 6 players seemed to fall onto the ball, completely shielding it from the view of the referee. The player at the bottom of the pile was laid on top of the ball with it in his arms, and shoved it over to Hollund or Williams.

When the ref came over to investigate it looked like the keeper had the ball all along. The Town End knew differently...

Carlisle in the ldv vans trophy thing, many moons ago, the game had been cancelled cos of flooding and frozen pitches about 4 times so they moved it to our ground.

Colin West booms on with us 2 down, thats the colin west who is now assistant manager, about 43 days young.

Goal mouth scramble towards the end and i'm sure it was lee, he pushes the ball over the line with his hand, amazing scenes as the full crowd of 645 go wild and the vic is rockin once more.
