time for my upgrade and 3 have offered me a c902 cybershot phone. Now I am not that up on good phones etc mainly will only use it for calls, text and pitcures and checking the football online.

They have offered me 600minutes, unlimited text and internet £30 a month with that phone, I am trying to get it for between £20-25 as saw the same deal with orrange for £25.

Basically i just want advise on the phone.

I've upgraded today with orange, they offered me the iphone free but the tarrifs are shit.

To be fair i couldnt give 2 shits about phones, i just wanna text and phone people, and have an alarm on it so i can get up...

So it's straight on ebay, some nokia touch screen brick thing...

mega pixels pretty irrelevant unless you are transferring images to pc and then printing off tbh.

getting something with a decent lens is probably more important for picture quality on the handset itself.

sony essentially make phones for bairns, samsung make phones for lasses, nokia make phones for blokes and blackberry make phones for business people.

and lg make phones for people who dont mind stuff that looks great but doesnt work.

hth.

cheers for the advice, can i ask what phone you have and if you had to recommend another phone other than the c903, possibly a nokia as its the only other brand of phone i have had what would that be?

I got a pay as you go Nokia from Tesco for £12 five years ago and have used £40s worth since. It suffered a bit when it went through the cotton cycle in my jeans pocket but amazingly still called out and received calls. It didn't ring too well though and I had to rely on the vibrate so I got another one and reused the sim card. Nearly five years phone for 70 odd quid. Way to go.

I can't get the telly on it or owt like.

ok then I will go with what you first said and get the c903, seen it on the 3 website 200minutes unlimited text and internet and 3-3 calls for £18. so i think they are trying to have my eyeballs out with the initial £30

I'm due an upgrade next month and am getting the new Blackberry 9700, Had a touch screen htc smartphone for the last year and sick of it, especially when composing an email. Luckily it came with a stylus 2 or i'd have been knackered.

If I was going for a "normal" phone at the minute i'd probably go for the nokia e51 or n97. The e51 is simple but has wifi in a nice thin handset. Caters for most stuff anyone would need.

I can't get away with the iphone, got offered one last year but the money they're asking for on the tariffs was not viable for me, I get decent discounts having been with o2 for 8 years and to give it up for a phone that didn't have exchange support, mms or a keyboard seemed silly. Even though the iphone has upped its game I still can't get away with the interface. Real buttons are the future!

I bought an IPhpone 3Gs brand spanker from someone at work for £250 (insurance). I pay £17 a month to 02 and for that I get 150 minutes anytime/network, 300 texts and unlimited internet.

Just buy the phone and get the bolt ons, then ur not tied into a contract and change as and when u wish.

i upgraded y'day and got the nokia 5800 xpress music phone or summit, it's actually pretty slick but i'm not arsed about phones so trying my best to sell it.

Anyone else having trouble selling phones on ebay recently?

Everytime i put it on, someone creates an ebay account, buys it, then cancels there account.

I reckon it could be the main sellers of phones on ebay trying to eliminate the compeition.

Your right chip, selling a mobile on ebay is the hardest thing in the world too do, it's as if your selling gold, and everyone wants to rip you off to try and get it.

I've had to put this phone on ebay 4 times now cos of bogus bidding, i wanted to get about £180 for it, as i've noticed a lot selling for about that, and it retails at about £250-£270, but im that sick im gunna give it one more give, without a buy it now, and cancel any bids by people with 0 feedback, if it doesnt sell or run smoothly, one website will pay £115 for it, better than all this hassle.
