Concurring.

Yesterday was the most enjoyable home game for ages, we got it down and played which was great to see. It would have been interesting to see the reaction if the game had finished 0-0 as I reckon (even though after the first 20 minutes the performance was very good) the players would been jeered by the section of goons that do that sort of thing. One instance in the second half when the excellent Richie Jones burst past and a player on the half way line with skill and pace then played in the perfect ball out to the left wing only for it be intercepted well by the defender, the crowd reaction was embarrassing you'd have thought he'd just missed an open goal!

You can sort of see were they are coming from regarding the crowd when you hear things like that.

I must admit that that was the best i have seen humpty play for eons - he seems to have finally understand what is need of him in that widds/tinks/boland role just stay in or around the centre circle and control the game and he did it yesterday - jones was allowed to be the venturing tenacious one - the defence (flinders inc) was outstanding - hartley is young he'll get better - monkhouse was superb - when he plays like that we'll never lose - he is the one key player that if he has a bad game we'll struggle that is how important he is. larkin - yeah okat nowt flash but a good shift still. Brown rusty but keen and boyd playing the holding the ball up role - odd to see but when he was allowed to start to look for space rather than hold the ball and get manhandled all the time we looked good.

Two tricky games next alas, otherwise we'd have the start of a good run here.
