Even after 2 days thinking about it Turner still thinks we were unlucky and on another day we could have scored 4 !!!!!
Was hoping that the headline would have been Turner resigns to save Pools more embarrassing performances.

certainly first half we played pretty well and had two or three excellent opportunities. the second half though.......

Larkin got into some great positions in the second half but he was trying to put crosses over with his left foot which lacked any pace and the fat keeper kept swallowing them. To give him a 9 is laughable.

If a Mail reporter criticised the performance they probably wouldn't be allowed in the ground ever again.

I'm not sure anyone on Saturday deserves more than a 7 I'd go;

Flinders 6
Austin 6
Liddle 7
Collins 6
Hartley 6

Monkhouse 3
Sweeney 3
Humphreys 4
Larkin 7 first half 5 second so 6

Behan 3
Boyd 3

I think because of past problems with the club some maybe are scared to print the truth and just toe party line, it's the easiest thing to do. I'm sure the players are honest enough to admit that they had poor games so why not print that? At the moment it's not worth reading.

Must be a thing about Pools match reporters, Loughlins the same at the Echo, some players get an 8 just for putting the right strip on.

It's true though, Loughlin's ratings are always OTT. Especially for his special friend Sir Richie.
