Just copied this from the Football League ground guide

Quote:
The 'Early Doors' pub next to the ground is popular with both home and away supporters, although it can get rather crowded. It does quite good food and has an outside seating area. Pete Smith recommends 'The Talbot' on the A60 near to the Sainsburys Supermarket. Chris Patrick adds; 'The Sir John Cockle pub is on the A38 going into Mansfield from the M1 and again serves good food. The Lord Byron pub on Quarry Lane is also popular with both home and away fans'. Whilst Terry Gospel, advises that away fans should avoid the Victoria and Red Lion Pubs.

Is the Lord Byron pub the one down the bank opposite the ground?

There are restrictions, but there is plenty of parking locally in an old fashioned side street sort of way.

Looks like that Early Doors pub will be ok Phil, just got this reply on their Rivals site

Quote:
Plenty of street parking around if you are early, or if I were you I would park in the Talbot pub car park just up from the ground (5 mins walk) on Notts road. Then you can call in for a good pint and something to eat if you wish, but food can take a long time to come on match days. Most of your fans will congregate in the early doors pub which is adjacent - ish to the ground and is recognised as the away pub

Wherever you decide to go have a safe trip!

Of course it was......

Like the season before (2001/2002) when they beat us 3-0, load of 'hard lads' chucking bottles across a crowded bar before legging it out of the bar....
