Boyd or Porter????

Been reading quite a few posts about Boyd and Porter....so who would you rather have in this current team????

For 18 months Adam Boyd was the best player ever to wear a Pools shirt.

Before that and now he is one of the most frustrating.

In that hot spell Boyd over anyone.

I actually happen to agree with him. That spell at the end of the Bristol City play-off season where he scored 12 in 10 games, Boydy was untouchable, everything he hit went in.

Yes I read what he posted, and even in those 18 months he wasnt the best player to wear a Pools shirt, in my opinion.

Howay Mr.Derwent....I know they are/where really good players for us....but after all the talk about them I justed wanted to see who people would prefer in the team now if it was possible!!!! confised

BTW....I'd have loved to have seen them both together again!!!! :coool:

Together they were awesome, but it's gone mate.
I would like to see them together again but it ain't going to be.
At his best Boydy was awesome, he is not reproducing that as yet. Last season Porter was awesome ( at home ) but he is gone, so what is the point is my point.
I am sure you understand where I'm coming from.
At the moment we need Boyd to perform. Is comparing him to anybody going to improve that????? I don't think so.

I've missed 12 home games in all competitions since 1984 Bob.

Yes, I saw Pederson, he'd be in my top 5 pools players. He shone like a diamond but in a team containing Richard Lucas and Ian Clark playing in a shit division.
In his twenty games we won 5.

Boydy scored 40+ goals in 60ish games against decent teams and provided dozens of assists in that time. His goals carried us to the highest league peaks we have ever reached. His skill topped anything Stepho or Gordon Watson had to offer. I agree with Harry Walter Mitty Shithead of The Guardian who said of Boyd in 2005 'if he was any faster than a fully loaded milkfloat he would be playing in the premier league'.

I promise not to laugh at your worship of the tubby, dental disaster area that was Joe if you can allow me to appreciate boozer Boyd.
