I went in last week & thought it was a load of shite, basically a DVD shop with a token handful of music, games & books.
If I had a £5 gift voucher id struggle to spend it.

Decent enough compilation Mutt but dont you have everything thats on it anyway ?

i had a pop in and it is mostly dvds

I guess it doesnt have the space to have a full stock of muscic like the metro centre or newcastle hmv has, and if they can make the most money off dvd's then fair play to them.

I don't think the shop will last, but it'll be decent for christmas, there 4 dvd's for £20 offer is pretty good.

Both a hmv and a waterstones would improve the town by miles, but for me the demand in hartlepool just isn't there.

Maybe that's what they meant by the 'Edge of The Seventies' title.

It's edging into the 80's

They should have stuck some Family, Badfinger or Blodwyn Pig on there, 1969-edge of the 70's!

Aye, I would have bought it then

Talking of DVD's.......

That Michael Jackson documentary film 'This Is It' was on in town starting last week, an 'exclusive' two week only release to be withdrawn pending release of the DVD.

Our rass currently has a DVD spinning merrily in the player......5 kuai or 50p in your English currency. Devilish clever these Chinese..... bbolt

Is it any good?

I've purposly avoided it, just making money off his name at christmas to claw some lost revenue from the o2 gigs that had to be cancelled IMO.

I popped in to the HMV shop before the last home game and was quite impressed, it was very busy too. Agree with Mutters like could do with being in a bigger shop, not sure about Waterstones like i think they expensive.

I prefer Borders to Waterstones. It's cheaper and they seem to champion local authors.

Going to pop into HMV in a bit and check it right out!
