I really am at a loss to understand his comments on Radio Tees tonight. According to the manager we played Kettering off the park, gave an excellent team performance and did well in all departments except goal scoring. Chris you must be kidding, the only thing I did agree with was his statement that Boyd and Behan were never going to score yesterday. our defending was generally sound but bearing in mind that Kettering offered very little goal threat for 85 of the 90 minutes the defence failed to contribute to our attacking thrust the passing of Collins and Hartley was dire and Austin failed to use the attacking space he was given effectively. Only Liddle played ok in the back four. Tony Sweeney was absent from midfield as was Monkhouse. Humphreys and Larkin in particular posed threats from this area. The least said about Boyd and Behan the better both could do with a rest. Kettering were as I expected their early goal enabled them to throw ten players behind the ball for most of the rest of the game and on the strength of their excellent defending they deserved to win the game. I usually respect CT because I think he tells it as it is but not today I'm afraid
