Hello, it's your favourite Boro supporting former Referee. Those two attributes were hardly ever going to win me popularity contests in Hartlepool were they? But before the sarcasm and vitriol commences please hear me out. I read the message boards regularly so I am aware of your opinions. I accepted the offer to do a show on Radio Hartlepool mainly because of the passion of the supporters and also because over the last five years it has been mostly Poolies that have remained loyal to my radio shows. The response to the Joel Porter tribute show last season was phenominal.

Every Saturday after a home game we are on air from 5-6 to talk solely about Pools. We have already got a good number of loyal listeners and a few regular contributers. To keep it lively obviously I want more. So if you have a Pools related opinion then give me call on 01429 275 111. We have tickets for all Pools home league games to win. I also have a supporter as a studio guest each show. Do you fancy it?

As a former Ref I am not used to being popular, so personal comments are like water off a ducks back, but you have a platform to air your views so I look forward to your calls. If you've got the balls give me a call.

By the way you will be gutted to know that the half time entertainment I do is only at league games so you will be spared tomorrow. The club in conjunction with Radio Hartlepool and Thomas Cook are giving you and three mates the chance for a free holiday. All you have to do is actually have the guts to enter. It's a bit of fun and perhaps having tried it you might not be so quick to criticise those that have and also the free holiday seems a very good deal to me.

I am sure that this email will provoke some criticism and name calling but so what. Your town , your team, your radio station, please support it. Alternatively tune into another station and listen all about Boro, Sunderland or Newcastle.

Best Wishes

Jeff the Ref

Before we all get holier than thou can we give the bloke some respect for being honest. If you want to get involved then do so but please, leave out the childishness.

Fans can email us on football@radiohartlepool.co.uk or text in as well. I have no problems with people phoning in with extreme views we take their numbers an dring them back so anyone daft enough to try and make obscene comments or the like will end up with problems themselves. It does not ahppen though the cowards don't ring in. Earlier this season I got a few "Turner out" texts and emails funnily enough they were all anonymous, I still read them out though. Give me a call and try me out.

I tell you its better to listening to people talk about pools then listen to the tones of gary gill on the other station now he does bore the pants of anyone who cares to listen. Only a shame H'Angus can't talk I'm sure he'd love a bit of chat on the radio!

One question if you still here Jeff.... How do you take socceram's take on you?

Jeff, Will you be switching off the master volume button for radio Hartlepool for five minutes after your show, as you have done previously?

I say give the bloke a break, I do a radio show for the Chinese, and I bet it's easier than a ref talking to football fans.

How, Jeff, I get 600,000 listeners, how about you?? :uhoh:

Doing live radio is like juggling jelly, truly it's a bloody nightmare, so Jeff, hat off mate. clappp clappp

Nice to hear from you Jeff. It's a show that is about Pools - so never mind your Boro connections of the past - lets hope more people want to give you a call.

Only criticism from me would be that it's nice to hear both sides of a conversation. When I've listened on the drive home the sound quality for the callers is abysmal, but Jeff comes through loud and clear!!

Good point, so I'll say something bad to even it up.

I dislike Jeff intently. Last year he was all over Darlow this year he's trying it on with us, personally I don't want anything to do with him.
His career is on the downward spiral and he's become desparate.

football AM take the piss out of him, rightly so in my opinion. His egos bigger than his belly.

I'll bet he'll manage to get every phone call back on to Borer some how
