The New York Marathon.

Surely running must be sport in it's purest form. All about the effort and determination of the individual. No fast car, no other team mates, no worrying about officials making wrong decisions. Just man or woman against the distance.

I really must start to get myself out there and run again.

Listening to Veronique Marot http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V%C3%A9ronique_Marot commentating took me back to my best Great North Run, when I overtook her after 2 miles ( admittedly she was only taking part as a training run coming back from injury) and I went on to finish in 1 hour 39 mins.
