He's doing work for UNICEF in Africa (and has done for a few years), he's stayed at the same club for the last 17 years, he doesn't get lashed and act like a cock on a weekend, I don't know who his bird is and he's never in the papers.

It's a shame he plays for Man Yoo because I think he's actually alright.

Pity more Premiership footballers don't carry some of his traits.

Should I get my coat? bbolt bbolt bbolt

he has been with the same lass since he was a kid. even tho he got her up the duff when they were teenagers and skint he hasnt sacked her off.

he also hit someone who works for the mags with a chair. clappp

That's certainly changed my opinion of him, well done Craig.

Back to Giggs, I always thought he lacked any kind of personality and humour but he quite impressed me on the news. He asked if anyone supported Chelsea and when one girl said she did he threatened to chuck her out! :coool:

Just been reading up on the Craig Bellamy Foundation, it's a shame he acts like such a tit on the pitch because his charity work is more than commendable.

it just goes to show that some people, even when they get paid ridiculous amounts of money, can have a bit of magnificance in their souls. Giggs and scholes are both mega wealthy, world famous football stars.....how many times have they been in the papers for anything else but football?

There is hope for football yet....

There was a famous incident when Giggs had just got into the first team and Lee Sharpe & Giggs had a big party. Fergie found out about it and entered the house while the party was going on, threw everyone out and tore into both players. It seems only one of them listened to him.

Niall Quinn another one I respect a lot for his charity donations, and also once helping out rank and file football supporters stranded by beauraucratic officials at an airport - and were facing the prospect of being stuck there so he paid for them all to get home on another flight

De la Cruz, who used to play for villa and reading, used to send about 50% of his wages back home to his family and the village he came from.

I did see this about giggs on the news too, well impressed.

I was just going to say that peej, I remember reading how he is embarrassed by how much he earns and has built schools etc in africa as well as giving half his wage away.

Didn't know that about Bellamy and it certainly is a very pleasant eye opener!

The tax man will only be able to take half of the half that's left.

There's a special scheme for sportsmen who obviously make all their money between like 18yrs old and 30 yrs old apart from Ryan Giggs.
