Marcello Lippi has said he was "as mad as a beast" after some Italy fans shouted abuse at the team when they were 2-0 down to Cyprus! Apparently they shouted, "Get to work" but Lippi says they should get to work themselves.

Given the level of abuse dished out at pools this could be a disaster.If Chris Turner finds out about this zero tolerance of criticism approach he'll soon be as mad as huge herd of beasts and half the crowd at the Vic will be told to get straight to work with no pies, beer or anything.

Lippi has achieved a fair bit in the game so can afford a bit of arrogance, CT is a little bit behind him in the roll of honour stakes.

Fair point but shouting "get to work" when the Azurri are losing to Cyprus doesn't seem too bad to me. Certainly not enough to make a manager of Lippi's status as mad as a beast.
