Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.

I don't think Turner treat the competition with contempt and I honestly believed him when he said he was taking it seriously.

It is just another excuse pulled out of the hat by people who just can't admit that the man hasn't got a clue.
His record speaks for itself and there aren't very many signs that his record is going to improve. Having said that, if he does move back upstairs and West gets the job I don't think that would be any improvement.
I keep kidding myself that progress is being made, second half at Stockport for example, but it seems like one step forward and two back.
I also don't agree that we played a reserve side. We played a team from our so called very strong squad. Most, if not all, have had spells in league games this season. if any of them are not adeqate for our first team, then why did we sign them. Turner said he signed players who could slot in and do a job. The burning question is can Turner do a job.
I do hope he gets it right but the form book is against him.

Cant agree more, just on last nights performance i'd sack him. Turner and West. Fred and Rose would do a better job.
