Toulouse fan murdered.

Brice Taton, a Toulouse fan was brutally attacked shortly before TFC's away match at Partizan Belgrade in the Europa League. It did get a bit of coverage in the British media, but not much. He died last week and a fund has been launched to raise money to help his family with legal and transport costs as they push to get his killers brought to justice. It might turn out to be difficult as it looks like they might be part of one of the hard core fascist groups that have been thriving in Serbia in recent years, sometimes with government tolerance. On the other hand lots of ordinary Serbs seem appalled at what happened and are keen to see action taken against them.

Any messages of support or donations would be appreciated. Apologies if anybody thinks this has nothing to do with Pools but as a Poolie who watches TFC regularly I know how much international support will boost the lads who are running the campaign.

What sort of hooligans are they? Attacking with bats, bars and torches especially innoccent fans enjoying there time away following there football team. Beggars Belief fooking animals they want stoning to death. rage

Absolute tragedy = The lad was part of a group of TFC fans minding their own business in a bar near the team hotel when they were attacked by a gang of thugs with baseball bats and machetes.

Will Serbian teams now be banned from Europe for 5 years....

Yeah, I saw that on 20minutes.fr and there was a little bit on the BBC. I think Toulouse have dedicated their next home game to him and all proceeds from the game will be donated to his family.

Why arnt the countrys where this has happened given extremely harsh punishments such as being banned from the competition?
It's shocking and upsetting reading that. Almost 10 years since the 2 Leeds fans were murdered in Turkey in similar circumstances. sadx
