I reckon that the winners of this league are going to have a relatively low total. There ain't going to be any 100+ points or even close to it. Us and Walsall are both heading for 89 points on our points per game average. I suppose its because there's a clutch of clubs on similar points.

You have a very good point. In 2002/03 we had 70 points after 33 games as opposed to this season's 64 ... BUT ... that was as good as it got. *That* was our 14-point lead. The rest was all frustration with only 15 more points from the last 13 games.
The 22 points we now need to beat the 2002/03 total look exceedingly gettable.

Just for the record in our highest ever finish (1956/57), the 25W 9D 12L we got would translate to 84 points today, one fewer than in 2002/03.
