Advice please. Thinking of taking a stall (2nd hand books). Went in there Saturday and it didn't seem very busy. So, should I....?

You'd be better off in the outdoor market, the indoor market is deader than the town, and that's dead!!

Thanks, yubep.
The only difference I noted was it had been painted.
I have no transport for an outdoor Market. Need a permanent base but cannot afford a shop.

I think it'd be great to see something like this in Hartlepool and I'd definitely use it depending on the types of books you'd stock.

Good luck with what you decide - but with Amazon offering second hand books, too (think you can set-up a store online with them - which may mean savings on the cost of renting a stall). You could do both, mind...

Thanks everyone.
WPP, I do sell a few on the Internet - Amazon, GreenMetropolis, eBid.net and sometimes eBay.
KK what genres do you like - I specialise in Science Fiction & Fantasy (vintage & modern)

I'd shop there to Mr.Knees!!!! :coool:

I was thinking about a CD/DVD stall in the Indoor Market as the only place you can go now is the Supermarkets!!!! confised confised

But you'd have to undercut them to make it viable!!!! confised

The classics mostly, but I like anything from Frank O'Connor to Milan Kundera, George Orwell to Ray Bradbury. Anything worth reading to be honest!

If you are buying in as well as selling, it would be great
