We are still making mistakes at the back in home games, that we aren't doing away from home for some reason.That incident in the first half where both Haslam and Collins came inside and left their striker on his own in acres of space was unbelievable!!! No amount of tactics and stuff can account for basic errors like that!!! Luckily Flinders made an excellent save at his feet - he really has been an improvement of galactic proportions to the last two incumbents

I think the crowd has a lot to do with it an all......
we were knocking it about in the 2nd half before they scored and people round about were saying I'd much rather watch us play like this than hoof it, then they scored and we knocked it about a bit and the people near me started to get restless and screaming at the players to launch it!
so then they launch it and their big bugger at the back head it away and the idiots round about go 'nooooooooo not like that!!!'

PS - Sweeney has to go into the reserves Mr Turner - I admit defeat on him now. He has no tricks, no strength, a poor touch, leaves gaps when we should be holding our shape blah blah blah - he is only of any use in a five man midfield with one up front. That is it - he has no other uses after his latest poor, poor showing in centre mid.

We all want to see Pools play their best possible football. I think we all agree that is by playing it on the floor. So why did Collins, every time he had the ball at his feet unchallenged, completely ignore Jones standing in space about 15-20 yards in front of him, and instead try to pick out a pass to either wing, which most of the time didn't work.

If Turner is telling him to do that, then sack Turner, but I'm sure it's more likely that Collins decision making that's at fault there.

Hang on, Turner says to Sam, " Sam, keep the foooking ball on the deck" If he isn't taking note then drop him and play Ben Clark. Its simple, if my boss tells me to do something I do it, I dont do the opposite, what makes footballers different to us?
I'd like to see Sweeney and Jones dropped and try Mcsweeneyand freddy in the middle.I'd also like to see Austin at right back and humphs back at left back.

Sweeney runs and runs and runs and runs and hasn't had a job since Tinkler left... his career was built on his role as Tinklers fetcher and carrier, he's gone and so has Sweeneys role. He still hasn't adapted.
