that Keith Waterhouse died last week. I would have thought that his passing could have been marked with some mention in the news over the weekend. I only found out this morning when I read Mike Amos' Gadfly Column in the Echo (hope I've used the Apostrophe correctly).

I stopped reading the Daily Mirror in the mid eighties, when he moved his column to the Daily Mail, after he fell out with Maxwell. Surely the author of Billy Liar, the scriptwriter of Whistle Down The Wind and A Kind of Loving, and the writer of Jeffrey Bernard is Unwell, deserves some mention.

sadx

Unlike POK I don't get my news off the internet, apart from about Pools of course.

Shame on you Ripper.

Top bloke, I didn't know he'd shuffled off. sadx

Didn't really matter which paper he wrote for, he was very much of his own opinion, and what a dry, sarcastic, withering sense of humour he had.

Night Keith.

He was a gay, grumpy old tw*t, but a brilliant writer.
