Agree with most of it Chip but so far Im happy with Haslam ,yes he may not be the best going forward but he's a full back who is doing a full backs job, it's what every Pools fan has been calling for for a few seasons now. And we even have Austin if haslam gets injured/suspended.

At the moment I'm not really arsed that Haslam hasn't done much going forward, he's competent full back who you don't notice much which is better than we've had at full back since Micky Barron!

I'd imagine once he gets his chance Austin will grab it but at the moment Haslam has done nothing to justify leaving him out.

Our bench tonight was teaming with options by the way, Austin, Clark, Boyd, Larkin, The Ice Man* and Freddy* would have all started last season. No kids who aren't good enough six first team footballers.

*I'll call them by their proper names when I learn how to spell them.

How could that bench have started last season PJ? Only Clark was here.

It was the PERFECT away performance. We kept it tight, worked our nuts off, never stopped working til the very last second, looked very dangerous going forward and scored when it mattered.

Oldham were truly, truly awful.

And THAT save by Flinders, i cheered it like a goal, outstanding. Go go gadget fingers!

Would also like to say it was a pleasure meeting several Bunkerites....Elvis, Chip, Symthe, Fetish Bob, MadJohn and probably some others without realising. Top lads, Top craic.

Proud to be a Poolie!

He m,eans if they were then they would all have started

One thing I like about Haslam is he seems happy to use his left foot which is always a big benefit at full back imo.
