..driving through town today and was surprised to see a bloke in a nice new Spurs shirt, which lead me to think, was he a genuine Spurs supporter visiting, or was he........ one of those gormless tvvats who love to buy the shirts of the team who are at the top of the Premiershit at the start of the season.
These people have all the usual rarf shirts, Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle etc and the de rigeur Barcelona shirt which they buy on holiday and half the kids in Hatlepool own and the soon to be purchased Man City shirt.
It must be like some bizarre ritual with them pontificating over which shirt to wear for each occasion.

If he had blond hair could well be a lad I know has supported them since he liked footy (due to gary and Gazza) he goes to pools more than Spurs though but when he was at uni in London sure he had a season ticket.

It is a nice shirt like, I've considered buying it. (Only after i've bought the Pools one 1st though.)

I bought the black Liverpool shirt, Reebok I beleive it was, some time ago, because I liked it and I already had the Pools top.

There is a fair few Tottenham supporters in Hartlepool, there was 3 in my street alone when I was younger.

I have to say I have never understood buying another teams shirt, the only two shirts I would consider buying is pools and the England shirt. To be honest I havent bought one for about 6 years as dont tend to wair them apart from in the gym etc, buying another teams top other than to play footy in or go to the gymin but as a "fashion" item I just dont get.

Well, I did only ever wear it for footy..... a football shirt isnt fashionable in the slightest. Not that fashion is important at all.
