Think it was just a little cut to his head but you know all about this Health and Safety, how careful they have to be, 'just in case'.

He was wheeled out to an applause and was 'punching the air' in celebration so don't think he could have been that bad. Thank goodness.

The chants that went from so called "human beings" were scandolous. Maybe they should think that next time it a member of their family who has been hurt at a football match miles away from home.

So that makes it ok that he hurt himself, has your kids not stood on a wall(if you have any) and would it be funny if they fell ?

apparently the lad recieved a nasty gash in his head and was at one point having difficulty breathing and was given oxygen but i believe he was fairly stable when they took him to hospital

Am I the only one concerned with, according to the radio, how long it actually took for the referee to think of calling a halt to the game so that the ambulance could come on?

From what I gathered on the radio, Mark Simpson reckoned that the referee would have to stop the game during the first in order to make sure that the Norwich fan got the appropriate treatment and went to the hospital. He said that there was an ambulance waiting at the gates of the stand waiting for the fan to go to hospital.

The last I heard the fan was going to hospital....but to me, the game seemed to take a long time before anything like that happened.

Because the game never stopped. The medics treated the fan behind the goal, the ref totally ignored what was going on.

To be honest, I think the referee ignoring what was going on was wrong.

We're talking about the well-being of a person here, I think they should have received treatment straight after they fell.

Someone has fell, you cant just throw them over your shoulder and run them to hospital. It could have been a neck injury or anything so things have to be assessed before moving them. Are you being extra thick on purpose today?

The club doctor, was on the spot pretty quickly, either because he was called over, or he saw four medics working on the man behind and to the right of the goal, in front of the Norwich fans. I fail to see how anything more could have been done for him. There was never any reason for the game to be stopped.

Talbot, all I'm saying is that there is surely a way of assessing the situation more quickly so that the fans gets the best possible treatment quickly that they need from a doctor - at a hospital.

Paramedics can only do so much before a hospital doctor has to take over.

He got treatment straight away. Whether the ref stopped the game or not made no difference to the time the bloke was carted off to hospital. They had to get him all strapped up in a neck brace etc so he was by the side of the pitch for at least ten minutes. Had he been on the pitch then of course the game would have had to have been stopped.

We needed an ambulance to get a flying jump off Morrisons roundabout and fly over the town end straight onto the pitch like this.....
