At least we've won the toss .... batting .... feeling a bit sick

We'll have to bat for a day or so to take advantage of the Aussie's lack of Hauritz

I feel a lot more confident than I did pre Headingley. I don't want to see Ian Bell before lunch, I suppose I don't want to see him before tea but I won't be greedy!

Aye, but I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised.

If Swann hadn't gone last night I'd have fancied us to have got 360 still, now I'm expecting 330 max. Given what North was doing with the ball it's not the worst score in the world, one of their players will no doubt get a ton though so I expect them to be on or around our total. Still plenty of potential for a good test.

Flintoff wants shooting for that pathetic shot at such an important stage of the innings. More over-rated than Andy Monkhouse.

I see the good old geordie/mackem battler proved his qualities again.

Fantastic performance by Broad.

Gotta agree re Broad. Ive slagged him off (like everyone else  ) in the past but he did the business yesterday. Im not a massive cricket person (I pretty much only watch the Ashes) but Harmison does not look anything whatsoever from the times I have seen him play.

Just had a look at the betting thinking the Aussies would be about 12/1. They're 9/2.

I just can't see how they can win this now?!

They currently think we're going to get 275 all out which would give us a lead of about 450 yet they are offering 5/1 for Australia to get 450 on that wicket with 4 England bowlers all in decent form. I don't get it. sctatchinghead sctatchinghead

Really pleased I was wrong in thinking that the Australians had come good and were going to give England a good smacking. Flintoff's run out was fantastic and great to see England winning on merit.

The craic on the cricket threads on here has been great as well.

Lets get on with the footy now.
