Any Mackems out there to tell us what Healy was like (when he wasn't injured)?

behan is shiit and ugly apparently.

healy is gifted but injury prone, and too good to be playing for pools.

HTH.

I wouldn't call horrifically snapping your leg twice 'injury prone' as such, just bloody unlucky he was a regular in the Republic of Ireland side at the time of the first one as well. It's seems like he tried to come back too quickly. I'd say injury prone is Willie Boland who hopefully Healy will replace.

Do you reckon as a Poolie midfield hero he could regain his international place, Amby Foggerty like.
Any other international playing for Pools honours?
Flinders maybe?

So presuming he signs thats Jones, Liddle, Sweeney, Boland, Power, Healy, Humps(?) all vying for 2 spots?

Where does Rowell play? Is it central mid? He seems to be the standout midfielder so far. Could be a key player for us this season.

There you go - Rowell for England.

I assume he's English

Well of that list it would be Healy (if he signs) and Rowell (who technically isn't on that list as has already been pointed out above  ). That could be the best two "footballers" we have had in centre mid as a pair for a long time

Healy & Sweeney would probably be the preferred partnership, feel a little sorry for Jones if thats the case though

I would guess that will probably be the case, Sweeney is a great lad, has bags of energy, can score goals and I like him. However I do have an issue with us being overrun in midfield when he plays there in a 4-4-2. His distribution is not the best and he runs away from the ball as soon as we have it as opposed to dropping off to make himself available and building the play.

Anyhow we'll see its all about a blend and players complimenting each other so it could work. Regards Jones not sure he is the answer yet either but he has shown some flashes and some players take time to adjust to senior football which is far more rigorous that Pontins League fare regardless of whether you play for Man U or Macclesfield. He's still young.

I love the look of Rowell as a creative, defence splitting footballer but Turner was quite critical of him at the end of last season for giving the ball away and losing possession and that's why he didn't get a look in. We all like different types of players ultimately

For me Sweeney still goes missing too much.

We lack a creative exciting central midfielder and for me I agree id love to see Rowell and Healy/Boland. A proper defensive midfielder who can run the game with Rowell license to attack and create.

It wont happen though.

Rowell as the creative influence and Healy as a hard working grafter seems like the perfect balance.....

....on paper anyway

left back should be the last one, unless Turner has another ace up his sleeve and pulls out another keeper or centre back(which i doubt)
