Well he isnt good enough and humpty dumpty would of made a better left back than him last season. He cant pass a ball cant tackle and cant run he is not good enough my opinion.

Obviously Turner doesnt think he is good enough either as at the end of last season the problem positions and the left back was one of them positions.

Misterb you seem to have a problem with everything i post.

look you are more than entitled to your opinion and plenty of what you said i agree with. However i dont feel the need to call him pathetic names and try to justify it by saying he cant run etc. I just think that a bloke who has played his heart out for pools for several years deserves a little respect.

I agree misterb, he does deserve respect for what he did do, for what he can do now though... he needs releasing.

i think he is good to have as a squad player to come off the bench. He can play 3 or 4 different positions and is experienced. Not a first team regular anymore though.

One of the best footballers ever seen at Victoria Park in our Colours, and our player, yet slagged off on here by people that clearly have no idea whatsoever.

He isnt going to be left back this season, and probably wont be first choice in midfield either.

But what a great versatile player to have on the bench.

Some poeple...........

Oh god i forgot richie was good back in 2002 you have to still rate him or the richie fan club sends you pm's and invoices you!

Why are people still latching onto a player who is clearly past his best?

Mr I help me out here...

Get over yourself man.

Of course he isnt the player he was in 2002.

Now read my post again slowly.

And then sit back and watch Humphreys prove you wrong again.

and again

and again.

ADG, Yubep rarely reads posts thoroughly...why should yours be any different?
He just seizes the general subject matter and uses his own version of it as an excuse to be offensive. He's a junior version of that guy who was banned the other day for rarfism...what was his name again?

i dont know how people can comment on an attacking midfielder being past it when the only form they have to go on is when he was playing left back. The 2 or 3 times he played in a more attacking role he changed the game for the better. He still has a lot to give.

When he was at his best yea he was great. I can remeber when he skinned one player with a megs and as he ran past him he gave a wave to the crowd. Im slagging him off now because he isnt good enough if any other player wasn't playing good enough I would slag them off as well as would a lot of you but seems as tho its Humphreys it doesnt mean that the stick that he is getting isnt justified because it is.

Of course he has.

But, as is the norm at this time of year, we get the Humphrys bashers telling us how fathe is, how old he is, etc etc.

But I was talking to one of pools physios last summer, who reads the boards, and he told me he was gobskacked by some of the comments about Humphreys, as Humphreys has always been one of the fittest players, if not the fittest, at the club. Hiw words. And I can only assume he knows what he is talking about.

Unlike some on here.

Opinions are like arseholes and all that. I have never known a pools player with such a divided opinion amonst the fans. I dont think he does have anything left to give wherever he plays. I agree that he may be a useful (ish) utility player but he will be on a decent wage and may not spend much time on the pitch. Im sure many supporters would like to see a youngster given the chance to be a 'bit-part' squad member

He wont lose any sleep over what anyone on here says about him he still gets paid at the end of the day.

With the performances over the last couple of years he shouldnt get the chane to make another mistake especially at left back. This may not be his rightful position but can you really justify pools paying so much for his wages when he isnt first choice. Couldnt we get a really good league one player for the same wages as what he is on. Im sure im not the only person that thinks we could be getting a better player for the same wage.

It does more good than when people big him up on here giving him a false sense of security and letting him think he is still a good player. At least this way if he reads he wont be disappointed when he doesnt get his game.

Do you seriously think that he deserves his place and seems as tho he will be one of pools biggest earners deserves the money he is on?

I dont think he deserves to start games no, I agree with you there.

However giving him abuse for trying his best in a position he hates is not fair.

As Humphreys is under contract, we would have to pay up that contract to get rid of him.

So why not keep him, and use him as and when necessary, and why not get behind him and the rest of the new squad......for a change eh?

Fair enough he was playing out of position but i know we didnt have a left back for the past few seasons but if he was any good in his prefered position wouldnt they play him infront of the people that have been playing there for that period of time?

If he cant command his place in his prefered role and get a starting place he doesnt deserve a starting 11 pay. He may be a decent player to bring off the bench for 20mins or so but with him on the amount of money he is on we could get a younger and better player with this cut.

Do you not agree?

I love it the way people base their views on the players at pools on the data in FM 2008 or whatever its up to now... How do you know that Humps is one of the highest wage earners in the club??

FFS he must be some use or he'd be down the road in a flash... There's no room for sentiment based on past performances in football today.. We've seen it Robson, Porter and others.. Reputation doesn't guarantee a paycheck.

They'll only pay them what they're worth thats why that fat knacker thats at darlow didn't join us last season..

And as rightly pointed out by ADG it would cost you the price of his contract to pay him off!!

Why shouldnt people slag him off he is not good enough. Just because its king ritchie doesnt mean people dont have the right to slag him off if it was any other player you wouldnt have a problem with.

My opinion is he is shit.
