All their "stars" are jumping ship and dont want to be associated with the place according to the bbc:

Middlesbrough have been thrown into turmoil after Egypt striker Mido, striker Afonso Alves and Turkey forward Tuncay failed to turn up for the start of pre-season training

As much as i agree with them 3 players and there mantality of wanting to play at the highest level.

They all though compounded in some way to boro getting relegated, possibly exemption of Tuncay who you could clearly tell was trying his best, Alves missed a million sitters and Mido is a fat get who just went out on loan cos he couldnt be arsed.

Maybe if they'd put a bit more effort in they wouldnt be in this position, it's called professionalism and they should still turn up until another club puts a bid in for them.

As much as newcastle are ridiculed you haven't heard a peep from the likes of taylor, duff, martins etc about jumping ship straight away.

Alves has got a cheek ... he's hardly good enough for the Borrer, never mind another club. £8m down the drain.

Boro fan just told me a great story about Mido. Apparently he turned up for training last season driving a white Rolls Royce, and the players all started asking him if he was doing weddings. Unable to take the joke, he spat his dummy out and took the huff. That's the main reason he went to Wigan, apparently.

rolfl as if that is true.

I'm sure I read Tuncay has been granted an extra few days to return to training because he's been on international duty this summer
