No

Actually I didn't post on there for about 18 months and only do rarely now. I reckon the vast majority of those posts were between 2002-2004 when it used to be a decent board with lots of good contributors.

On another note what sort of individual do you have to be to chronicle every single post on a message board over a seven year period  sctatchinghead stpid

I haven't posted on there in about two years. Nice to see I could get up there though.

I completely forgot Darlo Pete did that - counted every post. Is that not a scary thought that a man actually did that and still does?

Such a weird idea in the first place :uhoh: :-o

Sussex, you semi-literate Climpie, I notice over on Rivals you are continually having verbal tussles with my middle Brother, AllezTFC.

For some reason, you keep referring to him as being fat, and with a big nose?

Have you ever seen him? Thought not.

He's about 10stone and none of us have any sort of recognisable nose.

You are a pleb, son.

Lets try to be fair to plebs, Sussex is just a bounder

Why on earth was the nobjockey allowed back on here?

Not wishing to side with Sussex, but....

"The term is used more commonly today to refer to one who is in the middle or lower order, or who appears to be; however, in Rome, plebeians could become quite wealthy and influential."

That's true, but the great orator Cicero was unusual in that he managed to win elections in Rome and he wasn't born to one of the 12 historic Senatorial families that lived on the Avatine in Rome. So he had to work their way up the ladder of high office in Rome, if you were a patrician, born into a wealthy family, you could just use your money as influence to win votes in elections....and the thing is it would work.

Obama won that election fair and square. He was the best speaker, therefore had the best campaign and so people donated to his campaign.

McCain on the other hand, didn't have a campaign, he wasn't a speaker - for much of the campaign it was just a case of Obama vs. "the other guy".

It was neck and neck in the early stages, but really McCain blew his chance when Wall Street started to go beserk.

I think the point he was making that generally the person with the most money wins

Yeah and I was trying to explain to him that Obama won because he had the best campaign, which gave him the money he needed to win the election.

Without a good campaign, you just can not win an election.

Everybody knows the Republicans coerced the Supreme Court to give the Florida electoral votes to Bush.

I just wonder how different the world might have been if Florida had been called for Al Gore. 9/11 might well have still happened, but at least we would have had a smart man as President during 2000 and 2008.

Gore for 2016!!!

Obama got in because he was black and cool, among other things - good campaign, but McCain lost for two reasons: because he was perceived as part of the old guard, and because he appointed the disastrous (yet strangely attractive) Sarah Palin.

It's personality politics, not policies in particular. Most people will struggle to think of any which have been carried out.

As long as it's not more Republicanism, I'm happy.

Not necessarily; a lot of what was in that film was embellished. Nothing quite like a Michael Moore film, but it wasn't as supposedly clean-cut as Gore made it out to be.
