How the hell are we losing 3-0 when earlier on we appeared to be all over them?

Germany have managed to put their chances away, but there is no way an England side should being beat THREE NIL in a European Championship final, u21s or no u21s.

4-0!!!

Pearce has made some very dangerous decisions during this tournament.

At least it will put to bed all the 'Pearce future Engalnd manager' talk.

Seems a bit of a strange squad to me, 2 strikers? What is the point of a 23 year old James Milner playing? In fact most of the players are over 21 and will never progress into the full squad. What's the point in Walcott playing when he's a regular in the full squad?

good point. people talk about him being the next england manager, personally i dont think the bloke could hack it at full international level. He has done ok for the u21 but some of the decisions he makes are compared to sven goran eriksson if u ask me

he shouldnt be, he is well out of form, he would be lucky to get in pools side of the past few showings

FT 4-0.

Quite frankly, that is an embarassing result.

He shouldn't even be there though to lose his form.

It's utterly pointless, are we that desperate to win something?

Your over reaction is whats embarrassing!

It's all a learning curve at that level IMO, results are important but not as important as getting international experience.

I think your right, but most under 21 teams have players over the age of 21. The rule allows it in that any player who has been picked for a U21 competion that goes over 21 while that competition is still in progress can finish the competion off. Therefore any one over 21 when the next U21 competition starts will be ineligible.

True, but it doesn't exactly bode well for us if that's the squad which manages to break into the Senior side.

Getting beat 4-0 in a World Cup final and dominating them in large periods of the match would be humiliating if it happened.

Sounds like they were pretty desperate tonight.

I don't know where they got the keeper from but his performance gave me nightmare like flashbacks to our last two seasons, chucking them in from all angles!

POK did you even watch the game, at what point we they 'dominate?' From what I saw we had plenty of the ball but got picked off by a more intelligent and tactically sound outfit.

Well we were creating loads of chances but we weren't putting them away.

Johnson had a great chance at two nil, apart from that little clear cut was created.

Did you watch the game?

The midfield of Noble, Muamba. and Cattermole is like having the same player three times.

No flair or skill.

We need to start developing more technically sound footballers instead of super fit athletes who can get around the pitch. We are miles behind in that sense. The U21's should be managed be someone with more off than Pearce, passion great, but you need more than that.

I'd get a foreigner in who picks footballers not athletes.

Of all the teams to get humiliated by, it had to be the Germans.

After watching the U21's this tournament it seemed we had one strength and that was set peices. Sweden outclassed us in the semi and should have gone through. We can battle through the early rounds but when it comes down to the bigger games we just cant compete technically at the highest level.

Nowt up front and Janice Cockfingers in goal.

If Hart and Agbonlahor had been playing it would have been a completely different game.
