why the stink every time you drive past the water outlet plant at Newburn Bridge, Seaton pumping station behind the golf club...when until a year ago there was no smell at all....tourism..Tall Ships..? as you arrive by train past the mountains of waste and cascading carrier bags, the dust blown promenade from the 'recyclers' and the gentle whiff of stagnant drain water at regular intervals, a delightful bouquet of fragrances wafting past you and captivating your senses.

the land as you travel by train between the station and Seaton is disgusting. Yes it is a fact of life, but it shoulkd at least be shielded off from view of passing trains. This is the impression I would take with me of Hartlepool - and it is of the very worst kind
