Twenty20 Cup quarter-final draw
28 June 2009

Following today’s closing Twenty20 Cup group action, the quarter-final draw has been made:

Kent v Durham clappp clappp clappp - Great draw!
Lancashire v Somerset
Northamptonshire v Hampshire
Sussex v Warwickshire

Matches to be played July 27, 28 and 29.

I went to the County Ground at Beckenham yesterday for the match against Surrey. We put ourselves into bat first and I have to say for a side that won the competition not too long ago, Surrey's field was atrocious I thought, Kent batted very well and got 185 - and then Kent nearly stooped to their level by nearly fielding as bad as them. Then when Surrey batted, I thought we weren't making it hard enough for them to chase, we took a few odd wickets etc. But thankfully, Surrey just didn't manage to chase the total down quick enough and came up 16 runs short.

It's first time I think we've finished top of the South division as well.

But I'm really looking forward to what should be a great match at Canterbury.

That was like reading an American talk about football (proper football I mean).

It doesn't help with Tracy Austin commentating on the BBC at Wimbledon.
