Suggestions to Improve Matchdays!!!!!!

Pleased to see Pools are asking for our views as how to improve the "matchday experience".

Apart from the obvious win more games, score more goals etc. etc. I have suggested that they re-introduce the short lived initiative of a few years back were the ball boys each had a match ball and made sure the ball was out of play for as short a time as possible.

As well as upping the tempo it would hopefully put pressure on the opposition and return the Vic to the fortress it once was. Anyone agree??

Don't know why this was abandoned after a couple of games last time but given the motivation of most of the ball boys seen at the Vic these days I presume they had a problem with training, attitude or both.

I don't know, the youth of today, when I were a lad etc etc............

I think the League weren't happy about ball boys returrning the ball quickly/slowly to the home team but not the away team, depending on what suited the home team's circumstances.

I might be wrong but I thought it was the home sides manager's choice of wether they operate with a multi ball option or a single ball option.

Whether there was one or 20 balls, the ball boys could still return the ball quickly / slowly to assist the home team. If anything having a ball permanently in their hands (typical teenagers!) they would find it more difficult to treat teams differently. If they had to return a ball from 10 yards away they could either run or walk slowly to retrieve it so I would be surprised if the league were against the concept.
