Got a brill footy history book for fathers day off me girls and the bit about the loids made me chuckle.

The 1924-25 season saw them win the third division north title by five points ahead of Nelson and New Brighton by a team assembled for the modest sum of just £80.

Wonder how much Todd will have in his arse pocket to get the new season on the way. :wink:

... it's that long since they were successful, the chant from the tin shed, which was then known as the slate shed, contained the words Yabadabadoo ...gadzooks.... ye.... knave and..... forsooth :roll:

. It really was a long time ago, even the stand was thatched and they had to bring their own bunch of burning faggots for illumination at night matches...or was that the half time entertainment ........
