It's a programme you use to download and share files of music or films, it's better 'cos it's faster, you can get full albums, the quality is better and also there are less bugs.

Just because you don't understand the word doesn't mean you have to slate it.

I steer clear of all that carry on, my father in law received a letter a couple of weeks ago from a London based law firm, demanding £700 for downloading software (a game called half life?) from a peer to peer site :uhoh:

Thats a bit harsh. But Blizzard who run that game and Steam who providde the internet facility are cracking right down on it. Half life and half life 2. Geeks games but you know, each to their own.

Steam are the exact reason why i have 3 grey hairs, it took me ages to set up footy manager through them, then even longer when i had to put it on a new laptop.

Aren't those on-line games you can't play without a subscription, making the software useless on its own?

I disagree, I'm a Halflife fan boy and I aint no geek :grin:

Its games like Halflife and anything that runs through Steam crack down on dodgy downloads as they spot duplicate CD Keys etc through there servers. All clever stuff and preventing what is known in the business as Warez
