Why do we do it, eh? getting a partner is one thing, but why should you be expected to take up with all their friends and relatives an'all? Besides, I like to keep my friends to myself, not share them :roll:

Salty, I feel for you brother. I have managed to avoid seeing mine for almost a year, as our lass tactfully chooses to take the bairn to see them when I'm working away. She tells them its hard to cope on her tod.

It's silly to have to make that excuse though - they don't like me, I don't like them, and our lass is always the one most upset when there's a gathering and they start chewing.

I've got a nasty feeling I won't be able to escape them this Xmas though... :evil:

Mrs Grave has to see her inlaws every other day. Obviously this maks it tough for me to avoid seeing them for any length of time.
