Thought i'd take over as the bunkers BBC correspondent for 5 minutes

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/8102867.stm

Bit of an experience of a lifetime for some of the players and officials involved with West Auckland.

I wonder how many non league journeymen want to play for them this season bbolt

I hope they enjoy it and take a minute or two to appreciate what a remarkable feat that was in 1909. As they say in the accompanying link West Auckland became giant-killing world champions in a truly unique tale of courage, self belief and north eastern grit... clappp

It was called "A Captains Tale"

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084918/

A month or so ago I went to the Durham Gala Theatre to see a production based on it called "Alf Ramsey Knew My Grandfather". It was very good.
