that one the top stories on the national news is this;

An alleged Paedo caught out, happens probably every day but massive news because shes a woman. It's strange thing about the human make up that these people exist for a start but even more strange that they are perceived to be predominantly male, well sorry paedophiles are predominantly male that is hard to disprove. But why?

Just one of those things I can't really get my head around to be honest!!

OK, fair enough, she's been copped and now she has to suffer whatever is coming her way. I have no problem with that.
But why turn it into newspaper-selling spectacle? Is it really so indispensable for everyone to know every sordid thing that ever happens in the world?

It's the court of public opinion and the general disapproval is a part of the deterrent factor. It stops others from getting involved
