Are you going to the street party today Mr Spender? Are the authorites really that niaeve that deny this ever happened? There seems to be a lot of covert broadcasting from "near" the square going on here in the UK. THre must've been some progress as there was a time they wouldn't be broadcasting at all no matter how covert

Thats saying the title of t his thread actually gets past their internet snooping features...

Naw, I can read it just like I can read almost anything. Really you shouldn't believe what the BBC says, they hate China and everything about it.

I don't see that they deny it ever happened, they just don't mention it. Like we never mention there was no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, hundreds of thousands were killed and maimed in the 'precision' carpet bombing and Bush and Blair lied like cheap Co-Op clocks to make a highly expensive war at our expense.

It's the same all over the world innit??

I won't be going to a street party though, I'm going to work instead!!

The BBC were saying that the China had suspended the use of YouTube and Twitter yesterday? Is this true Mr Spender? Mind I remember being in Vietnam and Thailand and you couldn't use YouTube, so it's not just the Chinese who vet what you can and can't look at.

Yes, we haven't had You Tube for a good while now. I don't use Twitter but I'm told you can't access it here. Not so many people do, they have their own versions of these things in their own language. Their Google is called Baidu and you can get full access to MP3's and 4's on there. I can't remember the name of their You Tube. They have their own social networking sites and they are popular and well used. As usual the BBC is outraged but it makes little difference to the Chinese way of life. It's just us ex-pats that get a bit inconvenienced but they hardly run the country for our benefit do they??
