Why do people go to watch Durham when its not there county.

Oh yes i was born in preston hosiptal north sheids was in st john bosco orphanage till i was 2 years of age came to gods country Hartlepool in 1958.

Hadrians wall was built in Wwallsend. North Shields is slightly north of Wallsend is it not?

As the wall only came down 20 years ago that makes you Scottish, and a member of the Tartan Army. :grin:

When did Hartlepool offically leave Durham and go into cleveland, also why arnt we in Durham.

Also I always thought as a lad stockton was in Yorkshire, but Durham Uni had a campus there so I must have been wrong

so why they hell was cleveland created and isnt around now? I was born in 1983 and up to the age of about 12-13 I remember my dad making me put county durham on letters when writing my address

This gives you the general gist, though I cannot agree with Cleveland being well liked, maybe outside of Hartlepool.
