I like Britney Spears, The Jam, Johnny Cash and all of ABBA's stuff out of that.

I reckon only about three of those are among the best by their respective artist.
As for Spears, Jackson... gimme a break.

I think the only one that might conceivably go in my top 20 would be the Smiths.

I've got eleven of them but would only play about four or five and I'm not sure any of them would be in my top 20 - in fact they wouldnt. My song of the week is Bonzo Goes To Bitburg (My Brain is Hanging Upside Down) by The Ramones - a nice little ditty about Ronald Reagan, best played very loud.
As others say, this is a lazy conservative list. Holiday in Cambodia by Dead Kennedy's would be in mine, as would I Know Its Over by The Smiths. Not sure about rap being in top 20 but the best rap is as good as any other genre...

I have no problem with rap provided it isn't some bloke repeatedly yelling "Motherfooker" or else someone droning on in an endless murmur.
As for my twenty best records, I wouldn't have a clue where to begin but I know for certain the Ramones and the Clash wouldn't be in it. :wink:
